As August fades away into the labor day celebrations that start off September, it brings about thoughts of Fall. With fall comes the anticipation of a new school year, cooler weather... and Halloween! This year Rize Productions has kicked off the fall season with an early Halloween treat that will trick your senses!
Just released by Rize Productions, the video "The Rizen" is a phenomenal play on words as well as a piece of visual mastery. The props, set, and wardrobe for the Rize members were amazingly well done; one is left to wonder how the visual effects team managed to make Joy Saad and Loz Weymann's regular body parts disappear and be replaced with the gory delights that have been left exposed. Saad's decaying face and missing thigh was so amazingly appalling that it makes the stomach turn. Weymann's exposed innards were so vivid, they could have been on a medical chart!
The video is set to the eerily catchy melody of Billie Eilish's Bury a Friend. The brilliant producer, Jordan Rizzo, makes use of a wide array of visual effects that subtly please the viewer: the static, warping and shuddering images, the sped up movements,
the change of lighting, draining the color from sections of the video and adding in those flickering images of the zombified Shane Dakota. Even the tiny details such as the overhead clap of the group dance timed with the downbeat of the chorus, Jordan Rizzo himself draped over like a broken marionette at the song lyric, "Keeping my head held down" and the camera cut to special guest Rachell Phoenix at the lyrics of, "Bury the hatchet or bury a..." coincides perfectly with the hatchet buried in her skull.
If you are a fan of Halloween, love zombie apocalypse theories, are a horror buff or you just have a morbid fascination with the gruesome and you have not yet seen this video, do not despair. The video has been included in this article, just below, so that no one is deprived of this early fall pre-Halloween tribute to the macabre.
Rize Productions' Owner and video Director/Producer Jordan Rizzo has set a high standard of expectation for his products and he does not fail to meet it every time. All in all, the latest work from this rapidly-growing label is a brilliant piece of creativity, talent, and skill.
