Dance Battle Royale – S1E5

DBR.jpg

The final match up of the first round of Dance Battle Royal pits Taffy against Abigail Winters for the final spot going into round two. The women dance to North Cack by Yamazawa. The two women have rather different styles and having both dancers be female made an entertaining suggestion when dancing to this particular song. The set glitters with a rainbow light as the women start off, tinting their pale skins in different alluring tones.

Taffy, a full-figured red head starts the battle off with good energy, hopping to the beat and high-stepping in time. The redhead seems nervous and hesitant, her dances seeming to be contained with small movements. Taffy's dances focus on sliding steps and rolling body parts.

Abigail counters with some quick foot-work. It's evident she's confident as her movements are broad and bold. She is ready to take on her opponent and has no fear of defeat! Abigail favors the quick stepping dances and contrasting her opponent, she likes to pop her moves rather than rolling them.

As always, if you haven't had the chance to catch the episode, check out the streaming on demand from NBCD.  Please watch it before continuing to read this article as spoilers are listed below!

Neither of the ladies were available to comment this time around, but we know who will be proceeding on to the second round of competitions.

With 76% of the votes, the audience clearly favored Abigail Winters in this match up!  She moves on to the next round, eliminating Taffy from the contest.  This week, we'll be opening voting to the audience to save two of the previously eliminated dancers so that you can bring back someone you think should have a second chance to battle again.  Don't miss the chance to get your favorite dancer back in the fight!
